A First Dance Beneath Ellis Island’s Blue Ceiling
During this Ellis Island wedding, the Great Hall’s blue-lit ceiling looked almost like a sky above the couple’s first dance. With the American flag overhead and the history of the immigrants who passed through this room, I wanted a wide image that included the whole setting. Close-ups tell one part of the story; sometimes stepping back tells another. Photography by Robert Evans Imagery.
